Episode, the Thirteenth

Welcome, you dozens of tens!

Things got a little strange here, which is fitting for our lucky 13th episode. Candice talks about her eventual death and retirement from podcasting, Monty strongly advises her to get laid (those who know us knows what's bizarre with that scenario) and an incredibly new and unique term is coined. It's around the 12 minute mark, listen for it and spread it around.

It's a Padgett smörgåsbord! We show no mercy as we turn eyes onto both Life From the Inside, self-coronated "best TV show on the Internet" and Vampire Zombie Werewolf, both children of Padgett's brain. And both titles seem to escape Candice completely.

Life From the Inside follows a retired, agoraphobic, English-language, obscure, foreign holiday, novelty songwriter (the best in the business) who finds himself suddenly broke and hopelessly falling for his building's superintendent. Not surprisingly, there are many comical and unexpected scenarios that can be produced with this setup.

Vampire Zombie Werewolf is...well, about a couple of Vampire-Zombie-Werewolves. Trying desperately to fit in with society and the neighbourhood's bloodsucking clique, the married couple also meet with a very anxious webseries producer to pick his brain apart...sometimes almost literally.

Meanwhile, Monty announces advertisements that will be posted on Kijiji offering up friendship, fandom and lovin'. Let the bidding war begin!

EDIT: As it turns out, Kijiji has policies against such posts and has sent me a firm yet fair e-mail to cease soliciting myself using their service. Life=1, Monty=0.

  1. Hey Candice and Nick! Thanks so much for the review! Thought I drop by and answer a couple of questions you had in the podcast.

We made LFTI specifically for the web. It was never a pilot for TV. Tanya, Kathy and myself wanted to make a sitcom for the internet (we thought people weren't doing that at the time. Though, in our defense, it was 2006 and we were naive).

The episode where Guy gets a "motorcycle" IS episode 4 (Candice was right).

Thanks for pointing out the Blip player issue. I don't know about the new Blip site, but in the olden days, I used to have to go back and edit the upload date in the dashboard in order for the player to autoplay in the correct order. I MIGHT have stopped doing that part way through LFTI and there's a possibility that it's completely screwed up now (sorry). Anyway, that's the old-school work-around for that, in case you're still interested for Limited Release's page.

The suggestive banana was completely unintentional. ...But, I wish it wasn't.

Thanks again, guys! Stay classy, Candice! And, Nick, watch our Holiday Video! :)

  2. I publicly embarrassed myself on the subway yesterday reacting to your vowel movement, so thanks for that.
